Grief Counseling

Processing and Honoring All Forms of Loss

You don’t have to choose between falling apart, numbing out, or  pretending.

Grief and loss are one of the few things that everyone on this planet will experience at one time or another. Yet, we often feel as though they “shouldn’t” impact us. Rather than reminding ourselves of the universality of it all, we often feel alone, misunderstood, and shameful for the intensity and length of our feelings. We judge ourselves for not just “moving on.”

And, it doesn’t have to be this way. Your experience is valid, normal, and deserves a space to be seen and held.

Whether you’re reeling from the loss of someone you loved, the end of a relationship, a dream that vanished, or a life that looks nothing like what you wanted it to become, you don’t have to go at it alone.

At Integrative Psychotherapy and Wellness we believe you deserve a space where your grief won’t be ignored, hidden, or rushed through. And, that with time and support, you can be released by the very thing that once held you so tight.

A soft place to land

Grief and loss isn’t something we “get over.” It’s something we learn to walk with.

This work is for you if:

  • You are navigating the death of someone important, or an ambiguous loss (friendship, job, ability, chapter in life)
  • You feel stuck in loops of pain and judgement— the “what ifs”, “should have beens,” and “what now?”
  • You want to honor your love and your loss without staying frozen in it
  • You are ready to move forward— not by forgetting, but by integrating your grief into a new way of living

Our Approach:

We treat grief with the recognition that there is often trauma buried inside it

Turning away from outdated narratives of "moving on," and instead guiding you towards "living with" your grief

Steadily working to recognize and reframe beliefs about grief and loss that are keeping you stuck

We draw not only from years of clinical experience and study, but also from our own deep, personal understanding of loss.

Exploring how your grief shows up in your body, mind, relationships, and beliefs about what’s next

Learning strategies rooted in mindfulness, narrative work, and trauma-informed care so you don’t just survive, but instead lean into the fulness of your life again

Helping  you to find grounding and growth in the present, while still honoring what is gone

The logistics:

What if...
Your grief isn’t a sign you’re weak?
It doesn’t mean you’re “broken beyond repair.”
It means you loved.
And loving something means you will feel its absence.

What if...
The absence could become something else—
something you carry with you, not something that carries you?

That’s the work we’ll do together.
